Senior Infants Room 3: School Tour

Last week, the children in Room 3 enjoyed an exciting day out in Lullymore for their school tour. The children took part in activities such as a train ride, a trip into a traditional Irish cottage, play time in the playground and they even got to see a fairy village! Senior Infants Room 3: Our First Online Storybook!

Senior Infants have been studying the narrative genre in both our oral language lessons and in our writing. We have been focusing on characters and the setting of stories. Senior Infants Room 3: Gaeilge

We have been looking at the theme of food (Bia) this month as part of our Gaeilge lessons. Room 3 have created our own version of the song “Tá Téidí ag Ithe” using props! Senior Infants Room 3: Science Week

This week Room 3 have been celebrating science week! We had a very interesting visit from Doctor David Fitzpatrick which included observing a real-life tarantula and even making elephant toothpaste. Senior Infants Rooms 3, 4 and 7: Road Safety

On Friday all of the children in Senior Infants welcomed a very special visitor. Katie from the Road Safety Authority came to Citywest & Saggart CNS to talk to us about road safety. Senior Infants Room 3: Planting Hyacinths

Today the children in room 3 planted our own hyacinths. We placed the bulb into the soil and covered the top with some more soil. We learned that plants need water and sunlight to grow so we watered them and left them sitting on the window sill to catch the sun.
