MELISSA HARMAN: B.A. (Hons), LISTD, CDE

Melissa trained at the London Studio Centre gaining a B.A Honours in Theatre Dance and her ISTD Teachers Associate. She danced professionally in Musicals and Pantomimes in the West-End and touring before moving to Dublin from London and re-training to teach in 2004. She holds the ISTD Licenciate Diploma in ballet and modern and the ISTD Certificate in Dance Education.

Melissa taught the junior company of The Irish National Youth Ballet from 2005-2011 and previously taught at The Dublin School of Dance. She currently teaches at The Debbie Allen School of Dance in Dundrum and Theatreworx Accademy at The Helix Theatre. She has been a member of staff on the Dance Studies course at Inchicore College since 2006 where she trains students for vocational jazz examinations and is an ISTD tutor for the DDI and DDE teaching qualifications in ballet.

Citywest Ballet Studio opened in March 2014 and Melissa is very hopeful that the studio will grow and provide children with many happy years of ballet training with the option of taking exams through the Examination Board of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).
