Principal: Communicating with Parents

Communicating effectively with our current and future parents is really important to ensure that the school runs as smoothly as possible. Communication is a two-way process and more importantly again is that parents are able to communicate effectively with us.

We are currently looking at ways of improving the communication processes in the school. Many thanks to the parents who have returned their email addresses to the school so far. Please continue to return them this week. We are really excited about the potential email communication has on reducing the amount of paper used by the school and by increasing the amount of responses we get to our notes home.

In the coming weeks, we will be sending you out a survey as part of our ongoing commitment to constantly evaluating ourselves on how we are doing as a school. We do this in many ways. We have a lot of staff meetings where we look at different aspects of the school and see how we can improve. However, it is really important that we hear from parents how they find different aspects of the school. Your responses to this survey will be really important in helping us to write our School Improvement Plan for next year. I will be sending out a link to the survey by email very soon. Please be reassured that all responses are completely anonymous so teachers will not be able to tell which parent said what. Your honesty and considered response is really important here.

If you or any parent you know does not have access to a smartphone that can download the new school app (coming in the next few months!) or emails, they will continue to get notes, letters, homework sheets etc. in the normal way.

I hope you all have a great week this week.

Thank you.
