Principal: Restorative Practices for Parents

Hi all

What a quick half-term! I am absolutely delighted with how everyone has settled in so far. Our Junior Infants are all great at coming into school now! Don’t be surprised if the mid-term break sets them back a little bit when we return. They may forget how much they love school and there may be a few tears (from the teachers too!).

I am delighted to let you know about a new course for the adults in our school community on Restorative Practices. The staff has received some training on this and have found it fantastic! It focuses on the importance of building good relationships with children and it can really make a difference to parents, teachers and children who may be struggling a little bit with behaviour management. I would encourage any parent to get involved.

The course starts on Monday, 9th November from 9-11 a.m. and runs for 6 weeks. As usual, the course is open to any members of our community and is free of charge. If you would like to enrol on the course you can:

  • call Karen on 014133080
  • email scoilniamhcns@ddletb.ie
  • send a message via the ‘Citywest & Saggart CNS’ app

Places are limited and will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Enjoy the break!
